Because we are aware of Internet users’ needs and our obligations in relation to the privacy of the personal information that is provided to use, we hereby inform you of our policy concerning the processing of the personal data we obtain from our visitors and users.

Based on the data protection legislation in force, SG-Vicasa S.A. implements the rules and recommendations that are currently in place. General Considerations have been established using the Regulations listed below as a guideline. Users from whom data is requested are also notified of their Right to Information.

 

Legislation:

  • Organic Law 5/1992, of 29 October, regulating the automatic processing of personal data (LORTAD).
  • Royal Decree 1332/94, of 20 June.
  • Instruction 1/1996, of 1 March, issued by the Data Protection Agency, on automated data files.

 

General Considerations:

Personal data may only be collected for automatic processing when the data in question is adequate, relevant and not excessive in relation to the purposes for which it is collected and/or further processed.

Only criteria that are not vulnerable to unlawful practices may be used in the classification of data.

Personal data that are processed automatically may not be used for purposes other than those for which are was collected.

Personal data shall be deleted when they are no longer required for the purpose for which they were collected.

 

Right to Information:

All individuals who are requested to provide information for inclusion in an automated data file shall be informed of their rights with regard to the granting of permission when providing the information or access to their personal data.

An automated personal data file exists for the collection of users’ postal addresses for the sending of goods by mail.

As the data collected is the minimum and essential required for the sending of goods by mail, the user undertakes to provide truthful and complete information to enable this service.

The data collected by the application is stored in a single file and its content is deleted at 11pm every evening. The data in this file is disclosed, user to user, to a point of collection for the preparation, packaging and sending of the order, after which no record is kept of the original data, although a record of the corresponding economic transaction may be stored.

The user is entitled to check the data relating to his person in the automated files at any time by writing to the data controller.
